Gowns, Dresses & Veils

Gown Alterations:
Thank you for purchasing your gown at Step “n Out Formal Wear. We truly appreciate your business.
In order to provide a full service environment we have an on-site alteration department to accommodate your needs. However, there are certain policies that must be adhered to in order for our seamstresses to complete your alterations. Please read the following policies and confer with your consultant if you have any questions.

1) Basic alterations are $15.00 per hour.
2) Basic hem starts at $40.
3) Hem at the waist starts at $50.
4) There will be 2-3 fittings to complete essential alterations on your gown.
5) You must bring proper undergarments to each fitting or we will be unable to do the fitting.
6) You are responsible for your fittings. We will inform you of your gowns arrival and give you a recommended time frame for your first fitting. It will be up to you to make your appointment.
7) If you do not make your appointment in the recommended time frame, we will not guarantee your alterations can be completed at Step ‘N Out.
8) A pick up date must be set at your first appointment.
9) After a pick up date is established, it is set in stone. You will not be able to pick up the gown early and expect Step ‘N Out to finish the alterations.
10) Please be prepared to arrange your schedule according to our seamstresses schedule, not them to yours.
11) Your signature will be required for all alteration agreements.

Tux Rental Reminders:

1) You must take time to try on your tuxedo at the time of pick up so any changes can be made immediately.
2) These tuxes will not fit like a custom-fit tuxedo. Rental tuxedos are a fuller body cut that enables us to accommodate a wide variety of body types.
3) A $10 deposit is required on all rental items at the time of reservation. This in non-refundable with no exceptions. Cancellations will receive store credit only.
4) Ask a consultant about the process and prices of “order-in” tuxes.
5) Pick-up time for tuxes is Thursday after 3:00 PM. But guaranteed pick-up time is Friday. The manager must approve all early pick-ups. An early pick-up fee of $5 per tux will be added to pick-up before Thursday at 3:00 PM.
6) Items must be returned to Step ‘N Out Formal Wear on the specified return date. A late charge of $5 per day will be assessed for each day rental items are not returned beyond the specified return date. Tuxes that are special orders will receive extra late fees.
7) The groom is responsible to get the wedding party in to be measured, and turning in out of town measurements. Children should have their measurements in three weeks before the wedding. Everyone else in the wedding party must have their measurements in 4-6 weeks before the wedding.
8) The following charges will be made if any rental accessories are not returned with the tuxedo:
• Cuff Links & Studs $10
• Button Covers $15
• Ties $25
• Suspenders $10
• Cummerbunds $25
• Vests $50
• Shoes $50
9) A signature or initial are require to indicate you accept this policy.
